Strong Storms Leave Path of Damage
On Thursday evening, Stafford County Fire and Rescue (SCFR) units responded for numerous reports of trees down and significant impact to residential structures following a strong line storms, which passed through the southern portion of Stafford County. The majority of the damage was localized to the area from Truslow Road to Jefferson Davis Highway.
SCFR crews, along with building inspectors, spent much of the evening assessing dozens of homes in several neighborhoods. The American Red Cross is assisting those impacted by this weather event.
SCFR continues to work with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and the Virginia Department of Transportation on this incident.
