Stafford County 2nd Half 2023 Business Property, Personal Property & Real Estate tax bills have been mailed! They’re due on December 5th. However, the Board of Supervisors approved an extension until December 15th before penalties and interest are applied. Questions regarding an adjustment or assessment, we encourage citizens to either submit an online form, use live chat, or call us directly at 540-658-4132.
UPDATE AS OF 11/14/2023: Stafford County Board of Supervisors adopted Emergency Ordinance EO23-01 to temporarily lower penalties to zero for the Personal Property tax payments due December 5th. Board Supervisor Crystal Vanuch presented the Emergency Ordinance to the Board, in response to the financial uncertainty concerning the delayed adoption of the federal budget. This will allow residents more time to pay their Personal Property tax bills through December 15th, pending further consideration by the Board of Supervisors. Click here to learn more.
