Mr. Diggs started serving on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors representing the George Washington District in 2024.  He serves as an alternate on the following standing committee: Joint Schools Working Committee. Deuntay Diggs, a native of Wicomico, Maryland, began his life under the care of his biological mother. At the age of 13, he found himself in the care of strangers, a pivotal moment that afforded him the opportunity to overcome the challenges of poverty and eventually graduate from high school. Grateful for the selfless and compassionate act of his newfound family, Deuntay holds a deep appreciation for their role in shaping his life.

A distinguished graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), Deuntay earned a bachelor's degree in History and was commissioned into the Army Reserves. In 2008, he joined the Stafford Sheriff's Office, where he currently serves as a Lieutenant within the Special Operations Division. Despite his demanding role in law enforcement, Deuntay pursued academic excellence, becoming an author and obtaining a master's degree in Public Administration from Liberty University in 2020.

In 2020, Deuntay, alongside his spouse Benjamin Diggs, relocated to the George Washington District. Benjamin, an assistant director with Stafford County Public Schools Transportation, previously served as an assistant principal at Stafford High School, earning the prestigious 2023 Assistant Principal of the Year award for the state of Virginia. Both Deuntay and Benjamin are dedicated public servants committed to serving the citizens of Stafford County. Together, they embody a shared commitment to excellence, community service, and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
