PHASE II
Mountain View Road Extension
- From Rose Hill Farm Drive (SR-1245) to the intersection of Pickett Lane - Project Length = 0.6 Miles
Project reconstructed Mountain View Road to meet current VDOT standards for an Urban Collector Street (VDOT Standard GS-7 classification). Improvements include horizontal and vertical realignment, typical section improvements (lane width, shoulder width, and roadside features), and sight distance improvements. A 2008 Transportation Bond Referendum project designed and constructed using a combination of County and VDOT funds.
Roadway typical section includes two standard 12' lanes with adjacent 8' shoulders (4' paved) in the westbound direction, curb and gutter in the eastbound direction, and roadside ditches to convey local drainage. Stormwater management in accordance with County and VDOT standards provided using two new stormwater management facilities.
