Public Works conducted a survey in Fall 2016 to determine if commuters using the lots would be in favor of destination signing. Results were in favor of posting signs. Staff brought the request to the Board’s Infrastructure Committee who authorized staff to move forward with purchasing and installing the signs effective November 13, 2017.

Based on the survey results, staff believes it beneficial to erect two destination signs: one for those commuting to DC/Downtown, and one for those commuting to the Pentagon/NoVA (Northern Virginia). This allows commuters flexibility in choosing their destination and preserves the ability to alter one’s destination during their commute.
