Automobile congestion is a major problem in our region. The Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) invites the public to comment on the East-West Mobility Study as well as take a survey about the projects proposed within the report. Major road and rail improvements under construction or planned for the near future have focused on north-south movements of people and goods. This study will examine the east-west movement of people and goods in the FAMPO region, reveal problem areas and provide possible solutions for reducing traffic congestion and increasing access to a variety of transportation modes.
