Safety Net Program

The Stafford Safety Net provides emergency assistance to citizens who do not meet the qualifications or guidelines of traditional County programs through the Department of Social Services, religious organizations, or other non profit community based organizations which provide aid.

Safety Net may provide various types of aid to citizens in emergent situations to include but not be limited too: loss of fuel during cold months, loss of air conditioning during warm/hot months, hotel accommodations if displaced due to emergency, displaced due to housing challenges relating to possible health department involvement, deposits for housing, and other situations that may arise throughout the fiscal year.

Funds for the Safety Net are donated; no tax dollars are utilized with the Safety Net.
