Training & Occupational Safety Division

From its primary work site at the Public Safety Center, the SCFRD Training Division develops and delivers training programs for all volunteer and career fire and rescue personnel in Stafford County. These programs are held at the Stafford County Fire Rescue Training Center.

The Training Division provides a wide range of courses from basic fire/EMS/Rescue to advanced education programs such as Technician Level courses for Technical Rescue Disciplines to Fire Officer IV, Fire Instructor III, swift and surface water rescue as well as Ice Rescue programs.  The Division has a partnership with Associates In Emergency Care to offer advanced level EMS courses such as EMT Paramedic and EMT Intermediate programs.

The Training Division is responsible for all promotional processes, recruit hiring processes, and the Company Officer Development Academy.

The Occupational Safety & Health Section also falls under the Chief Training Officers responsibility.
