Grand Jury/Criminal Term days:
1st Monday of each month, unless that falls on a holiday, then will be moved to the next business day.  Begin at 9:00 a.m. - LIMITED CRIMINAL MOTIONS CAN BE SET THROUGH CHAMBERS.

Civil Term days:
Quarterly (January, April, July, October), begin at 11:00 a.m. and are combined for Court Room 1, Court Room 2, and Court Room 3.  Cases for Term day should be set by praecipe filed no later than the Friday one week prior to Term day.

Motions days:
1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.

Procedure for Filing Motions  (ALL CIVIL MOTIONS MUST BE SET THROUGH CHAMBERS)

To place a Motion on the docket for a Motions Day, an original Notice and Motion must be filed with the Clerk at least one week prior to Motions Day.  Faxed Notices and/or Motions to the Clerk will not be accepted for filing.  

  • Criminal motions should be noticed for 9:00 a.m.; 
  • Civil motions should be noticed for 11:00 a.m. and should not exceed 20 minutes;  
  • Total time estimate of argument must be stated in the notice; 
  • Courtesy copies of Notices and Motions are to be mailed or faxed to Chambers.

Please note:
Motions to Suppress are to be set through Chambers.  Show Causes for domestic matters should be set on Pendente Lite days (second Friday of each month in CR#1 and CR#2/fourth Friday of each month in CR#3- unless otherwise noted) at 9:00 a.m.
