The work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Phase One - Mechanical Yard Improvements:

Improvement to the mechanical yard at North Stafford High School, including milling of existing asphalt at the mechanical yard and installation of new asphalt at a depth of two (2) inches, demolition and removal of two existing storage sheds, existing slab and fence, installation of new shed foundation and slab for future use, installation of concrete pad for fuel tanks, installation of concrete curb at the mechanical yard perimeter, replacement of existing fence and gate at the mechanical yard perimeter and the replacement of sidewalk, approximately ten (10) feet.

Phase Two - Replace Cooling Towers:

Removal and disposal of two existing BAC Cooling Towers (2) at North Stafford High School:  The removal and disposal of two existing BAC Cooling Towers at North Stafford High School, includes but is not limited, to  disconnecting all piping and electrical connections, and removal of 50 HP motor in existing towers for use in the new tower.

Relocation of Marley Cooling Tower:  Relocation of the Marley Cooling Tower (1) currently located at Stafford County Public Schools Operations and Maintenance equipment yard at 25 Wyatt Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22406 includes but is not limited to transporting cooling towers to North Stafford High School for installation.

Installation of Marley Cooling Tower at North Stafford High School:  The installation of the Marely Cooling Tower at North Stafford High School includes but is not limited to the removal of all existing beams and concrete posts and replacement with galvanized steel supports.  Preparation and painting of existing steel I-beam supports, installation of 50HP cooling tower fan from BAC Cooling Towers, required piping modifications, piping and electrical connections, and a new variable frequency drive for the tower fan.  Installation of the Marley Cooling Tower also includes replacement of required insulation and heat trace, connection and programming of all equipment to existing controls, repair and refurbishing of the Marley Cooling Tower, complete start up/testing/balancing of the new tower and all systems and replacement of mechanical yard stone in cooling tower area.

Phase Three – Cooling Tower Start Up with Existing Chillers: 
Contractor shall provide cooling tower and chiller (two chillers) start-up and all work of Section 23 05 93 during March 2017.  
Post acceptance testing in accordance with 23 05 93, 3.5, A. shall be performed after August 15, but no later than September 15, 2017.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at North Stafford High School, 839 Garrisonville Rd., Stafford, VA 22554 at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.  Attendance is optional, but strongly encouraged.  Call (540) 658-6540 if directions are needed.  All attendees will then be invited to view the existing Marley Cooling Tower at 25 Wyatt Lane, Stafford, VA 22406
